Christopher Gee studied Drawing at Camberwell College of Art and went on to gain a Masters in Drawing from Wimbledon College of Art. Drawing still informs the origins of his work, mostly now in paint.
His paintings are compact and have a distinctive style, influenced by Folk Art, the Northern Renaissance painting and German Romanticism. His work evokes a quiet, a calm, a stillness, sometimes a sense of isolation.
An avid explorer, he seeks out historic and forgotten landmarks and overlooked landscapes.
