Hands for me are endlessly fascinating. They can be used to build or destroy, to comfort or harm, they are said to contain our life's journey in the lines of the palm, our trajectory, our fate. Ultimately, we all have a choice how we use these incredible tools and at times we will all choose unwisely. Do we offer a helping hand to others when needed? Do we signal clearly our need for that helping hand when inevitably it is our turn to be thrown overboard? As difficult as life can be sometimes, I believe that in the deepest part of our humanity there is very little distinction between being the helped or the helper, both bring their gifts, heart treasures from the star at the bottom of the sea.
