"I made this piece with humour and a slightly (well, maybe more than slightly) tongue in cheek manner. It is a snapshot of a bad mood, ill humour, irritability, envy and judgement raining supreme over an inner sky. When making this, apart from finding humour, I thought about how we as human beings (I think it’s a we, but I know I certainly do this) project our inner states onto our environments. ‘Life/nature/God/fill in the blanks, must be like this, because I am like this’, and in those moments these beliefs seem so true, so real. Sometimes, we really can’t see the wood for the trees and knowing this, I think is a very good thing." Anthony Stevens
