Manor Place, West Sussex. A simultaneous post modern view of one man’s collection of paintings hung in his three room private gallery space. The imagined exhibition features post cubist works by several British and one South African artist. The goal in painting was to establish a series of relationships between works that take us from Howard Hodgkin through Patrick Caul eld and Michael Andrews to Bridget Riley. Joe Tilson’s paintings act as the focal point in the fore and background, the one in the background when viewed flat and in perspective becomes the template for the shape of the floor.
