The title refers to the residue of the past and how there is a continuous ‘overlap’ that influences the present, no matter how much it is in the past.
This, in respect to connectivity, is self evident as mentioned in Robert D Putman’s book Bowling Alone discussing the illusion and breakdown of social interaction and our innate need to connect, comparing the past traditions with contemporary platforms - “Social connections are also important for the rules of conduct they sustain”, “Digital social networks encourage an illusionary ‘Bridge’; one that gives homogenous interaction...”.
