This bronze sculpture of a Horse Head by Hamish Mackie was inspired whilst he was creating the six larger than life-size horses for Berkeley Homes. Hamish’s complete understanding of equine anatomy underpins his loose handling of the material. There is movement and vitality in this work: we feel a sense of the animal’s spirit and intelligence. Like all his pieces, the textural quality invites us to touch it.
